Deep thinking

Once a long time from now I use to work in a comic book store as asst. manager. I fought daily to prove that I was a chick who had brains and knew my shit.
Being a woman and working twice as hard and smart to beat the guys or be equal. Back then, all I wanted was to fit in and be "one of the guys". And it hurt that no matter how hard I tired, I never fit in.

Flash to now, years after then. Now I have comic artist friends as well as a few famous friends. I have nothing to prove anymore cause I'm finally equal to the men in my life.

After hanging out with my friends today, I realize how lucky I am to finally be in the place I wanted to be a few years ago.
Only up from here and I look forward to getting to know these friends better and making new ones..
